Three Upper East Side rabbis discuss Rabbi Angela Buchdahl’s new memoir, Heart of a Stranger: An Unlikely Rabbi's Story of Faith, Identity, and Belonging. From hearing the call to the rabbinate at a young age to leading one of the largest congregations in America, Rabbi Buchdahl relates a journey from feeling like an outsider to becoming a renowned and admired religious leader. Speaking from their long-standing relationship as rabbinic colleagues and friends breaking barriers, building bridges, and creating cross-synagogue community, the panelists discuss challenges, triumphs, and everything in between.
