The Day After: How Rabbis Rebuilt Our World
Thu / Begins Oct 15 / 8 sessions / 9:15-10:45 am / 87th Street and Online
Rabbi Charles Savenor
After the destruction of the Second Temple, the rabbis faced a profound question: how do you rebuild a world that has been shattered? Through some of the Talmud's most memorable stories, we will explore how the rabbis responded to loss, conflict, uncertainty, and change by creating enduring models of community, leadership, friendship, resilience, and hope. Their wisdom not only shaped the future of the Jewish people but also continues to offer insight for navigating the challenges facing our communities and society today. No previous Talmud background or experience required.
