Here All Along: Finding Spirituality and Connection in Judaism
Tue / Nov 17 / 7:30 pm / 87th St
Sarah Hurwitz and Rabbi Koffman

Sarah Hurwitz, former speechwriter for President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, took an introduction to Judaism class in her thirties that began a years-long exploration and ultimately transformed her relationship to Judaism. Hurwitz will share her insights on the importance of Judaism in her life and how we can embark on personal journeys to seek, question, and make this tradition our own.

Hurwitz’s talk will be kicking off a series of programming for parents to offer chances to connect with one another and Park Avenue Synagogue’s rabbis to deepen their own connections to Jewish life and learning.

Sarah Hurwitz is the author of Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life – in Judaism (After Finally Choosing to Look There), and As a Jew: Reclaiming Our Story from Those Who Blame, Shame, and Try to Erase Us.
