Sarah Hurwitz, former speechwriter for President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, took an introduction to Judaism class in her thirties that began a years-long exploration and ultimately transformed her relationship to Judaism. Hurwitz will share her insights on why Judaism matters and how we can embark on personal journeys to seek, question, and make this tradition our own.   

Sarah Hurwitz is the author of Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life – in Judaism (After Finally Choosing to Look There), and As a Jew: Reclaiming Our Story from Those Who Blame, Shame, and Try to Erase Us.
